Why does Prakash try to protect Lenny’s feelings and be polite even though he is desperate for Lenny to leave?

  2. I think Prakish tries to be polite to Lenny because he feels bad. Everyone judges him and makes fun of him. I also think Lenny tries to be polite to Lenny because it is his birthday. Prakish is probably the only one who cares.

  4. Brook you are correct.
Prakash is the only one who feels sympathetic because he knows thr TRUE story about Lenny.

....that could be a book- "The TRUE story of LENNY!"

  5. I think Prakash is trying to be nice to Lenny even though he wants him to leave because he was the one that invited him, so he couldn't just tell him to go. It also could be that he feels bad for him. Lenny doesn't have any friends, but he feels that Prakash is almost a friend.

  8. I think Prakash is doing that because there is no one else being nice to Lenny. Also in the story Prakash is just sweet to everyone. In the story Prakash says not to call the police on Lenny because he might not have taken the money.

  10. Prakash tried to be polite to Lenny because he is compassionate. Also he wants everyone to feel like they have a friend. I really look up to him for that. Another reason is it was Lenny's birthday. Anyone would feel bad for someone if they aren't able to celebrate.

  11. Prakash tried to protect Lenny's feelings because no one else was nice to him. I thought this because Prakash feels bad for Lenny throughout the story. I also agree with Alex.

  12. I think Prakash was trying to be nice to Lenny because he felt bad because no one did the bump with Lenny and no one sang happy birthday. But he was wanting Lenny to leave his house because he didn't want his parents (especially) his dad to see him because Lenny hangs around their store. Lenny is also very dirty and weird to them.

  13. I think Prakash tried to be nice to Lenny because he didn't have a very good life and had no friends. He tried to protect his feelings they could be friends. Prakash tried to be polite to Lenny even though he tried to get Lenny to leave so he couldn't get in trouble while having fun.

  15. I agree with you guys, I think that he was nice to
Lenny because it was his birthday, and nobody cared
    about his birthday.

  16. Because he feels bad for him since it is his birthday.

  17. Prakash was nice to Lenny even though he was desperate for him to leave because Prakash cares about other people's feelings. Prakash must know how it feels to be embarrassed and made fun of. I wonder what his side of the story is?
