Why does Spit believe that a person must put something of himself in the trolley he drives?

  1. I think Spit believes that a person should put some of "him" in it for 2 reasons. 1) Spit is jealous of Leslie's new trolley. 2) Spit believes that the trolley will never really be his unless the owner builds it or helps build it.

  2. Spit believes that a person must put something of himself in the trolly he drives because it is not really yours. He thinks that winning with your own trolly is better than winning with something that you didn't make. I agree with him fully.

  4. I dont think spit thinks that a person needs to put something in what he drives I think he is just jealous that he had a nice one made for her when all the other kids have to] build it with scrapds from a junk yard

  5. Spit believes that a person must put part of him in his trolley because technically, it's not yours. When he said that on page 25, he meant that Leslie just needed to put something into it, such as a scrape, or even a screw. Plus, everyone else had made their own trolleys. It wouldn't be fair if the whole thing was made by master craftsmen.

  6. I think Spit says you must have something of you in the trolley you ride so it acts as a part of you. Also so you know it is your hard work and it's success.

  7. Spit believes that a person must put themselves in something the make because if not it isn't theirs. So, overall, I agree with J.J.

  8. He believes that because you then don't know your machine you just drive it. I think the same thing as him because you didn't do any work to the machine and then you don't know how it drives. Spit says that on page 25.

  9. I think Spit believes that a person must do something to their trolley because it was the only way to be yourself. I agree with J.J. and Brook because Spit should know how to include "him" in his trolley. Everyone made their trolley by themselves and not a custom made one like Leslie's trolley.

  12. Spit believes the person that is driving the trolly should have something to do with it because... when you race it, if you win you didn't really win the person that made it really won.

  13. Do you think that winning with something you built would be more gratifying than winning with something you bought? Which experience would give you more pride?

  14. Spit believes that a person must put something of himself in the trolley he drives because like J.J. and Brook said, you must mut yourself in it.

  15. Well, Brook had a pretty good point. So did J.J and Micah. It is better to win with something you made. And Spit is jealous.

  18. I think he needs you in it because he says that it's you that's the one that needs you in it because it should be from you to make you proud. Or it was just munipulative.

  19. Interesting point. Jealousy is a strong emotion. Why do you think he was jealous when he was the better driver?

  20. I would rather make the trolly myself because then it is more of you and you can do anything you want with it. If someone else makes it then there isn't anything about you.
