I'm reading If Your Reading This It's Too Late. It's the second book in the secret series. So far the main characters haven't done much. A text to text connection is the characters joined the Terces Society and in A Series of Unfortunate Events the kids joined a secret society. A text to world connection is there was a Japanesse kid who was kinda weird and reminded me of a guy in the movie Disturbia.
i am reading Three cups of tea. i thout by now greg would be working on building the school for Korph. but he is not, in the last chapter i read greg was shopping! but he was shopping for school supplies and stuff to build the school with. Greg went to a different town to get the materials the town is called rawalpindi. Greg had to stay in a cheap motel when he was staying there becuase he was trying to save all his money for the school. i hope the next chapter will be about him building the school.
Today I read Percy Jacjckson: The Last Olympian. In my book, Percy and his friends are defending Manhattan from Kronos's evil Titan army. They are trying to invade Olympia (to get there, you ask for the 400th floor at the Empire State Building). So far they are losing 40 to 1,000. Their small army has been pushed back to a block away from The entrance to Olympia. And the Gods aren't there to help them. The Gods are fighting Typhon, the strongest Titan. He will be in Manhattan in 1 and a half days. I made a self to text connection with Percy. I have been seriously outnumbered in a situation before. Such as a baseball game. I also made a text to world connection. There have been many battles that had one army seriously outnumbered.
Eye am reading Ginger Pye, a book about a marvelous family. Meet the Pyes (yes that is their last name) Ms. Pye is the youngest mom in town. Mr. Pye is a bird man- he knows everything about birds. Rachel Pye is a teen girl who is so reasonable that unreasonable things sound like reasonable things. Jerry Pye is a teen boy who wants to be a rock man when he grows up. Uncle Bennie is Jerry and Rachel's uncle but he's only 3 years old. And finally is Ginger, a puppy that Jerry bought for 1 dollar. Ginger is a sweet puppy and very intellectual. he climbed up the school's fire escape to bring Jerry his pencil. But one day somebody steals him! (I am at that part) One thing I liked about this book was that in Chapter 6 the story is told from Ginger's point of view. A text to world connection would be that some families are strange but they live like normal. Another TtW connection is that some dogs can be reallly smart. If anyone of you has read this book DONT TELL ME ABOUT IT If you havent read it please do! -Darkness
I am reading a book called the series of unfortionate events the first one. I think it is one of the best books I have ever read! I can't beleive that the three children's parents died in a fire! Oh wait that is a text to world connection because anyone's parent could die in a fire. -Mia Hardesty
I'm reading Cindy Ella. It's a little confusing but i'm starting to get it. I can make a text to self connection with Cindy, because like her, once in a while I can't think of ANYTHING to say except something completely stupid!
I am reading the book lunchbox and the aliens. It's about a dog that is abducted by aliens they alter him to find a food called froonga. It is afood made from trash that dogs and aliens like. So far Grunfloz(one alien) Is disobeying Frazz(another alien) and abducted lunchbox. His owners are worried that he ran away from home what will they do to find come back to the next episode of ...Abducted! =^o
Today I read the book How to train your dragon. It is about a boy named hiccup. In book one he first gets his dragon,Toothless. He secretly captures him in a hidden dragon cave up the side of the mountain. In the end he destroys the green and purple death at the end of his taining.
I am reading the book seires the series of unfortonate events. This book is really good to me because it is interesting, amazing and I always wonder what is going to happen next. I think some people should read it because you will want to know what happens every time. This book is sad but very well written. I am sure many people have heard of the movie and the book. If I were you I would try to read it. -Mia Hardesty
I am reading the bad begining it is a really good book so far! I feel really bad for sonny, cluas, and violet because their parent die and that would be awful to have both parents die! I feel so bad for them.I think lots of people should read the series because it is very descriptive and really good and interesting. - Mia Hardesty
I'm reading the wolves of the beyond. so far the youth wolf pup has a splayed paw. the wolves have kicked him out. then a mother bear found him and is raising him till' he's older. she dosen't know much about wolves, but she'll use every memory shes got 'em.
