What role did Billy’s clothing and physical appearance play in the teasing he received in town? Do you think people tend to judge others by their appearance? Do you think this is right?
I think they didn't know he was poor so he didn't have good clothes but his physical appearance could have made a difference if he had more muscle. I do think people tend to judge people before they get to know them. I think it isn't right to judge people by there appearance. Micah Scott
Billy's appearance plays in the teasing because his clothes are different. People often judge people by their appearance. All of us are guilty of it. It's not right to do this but sometimes it's hard not to. We should all get to know people before we judge them.
i do not think it is right to judge someone by looks becuase what if they are really nice and you ruened a friendship that you never even started. Billy's clothes's roll was a joke to the other kids. Billy was teased because of his ragged cloths but he didn't know that his cloths were weird. The people shouldn't have fun of him though it was wrong. Like on page 43 some kid was really mean to Billy's dog. I also think people do judge others by their apperence. Benjamin Knapp
It made him seem dirty and weird. A lot of people tend to judge people by how they look. It is not right at all because someone could be awesome and wear giant, fluffy dresses.
Billy's clothes and physical appearance played the role of showing that he is poor. He didn't even have shoes on. That's part of the reason he was addressed a hillbilly. People do tend to judge people by their appearance. But that's just not right.

I think it is horrible that people judge people by how they look. Big or small, clean or dirty. So however Billy looks he should not have been treated in such a horrible manner.
