What do you think Miss Franny meant when she referred to Littmus as a "changed man?"

  3. I think she means his life changed since every one in his famliy died. Another thing that changed was when he made his famous candy. The war also made him see how different the world is.

  5. I think it meant he hated war now. He realized that war could end after many people perished. He never wanted to be in a war again.

  7. He was a changed man because he learned that war was not everything, in fact it was terrible to him! I bet he was disscusted when he thought back about wanting to go to war. He was also changed because now he didn't have his family so he was an orphan.

  8. I think Littmus changed because tons of people died in the Civil War. He also wanted to make a candy factory so everybody could eat candy.

  9. He was a changed man because when he was just a boy he thought that war was fun and cool and once he fought he figured out it was hell. He experienced cold, lice,fleas, hunger,and pain. And once he came back to his home everything from his childhood was lost.
